Welcome to the world of podcasting! Some people in
traditional media claim that podcasting is a FAD. If they mean Free Audio
Download - they are right. But if they mean that podcasting is a flash in
the pan - they couldn't be more wrong! They also thought blogging was a
flash in the pan ... there are nearly 10 million blogs in play today.
Twenty months ago, you could have typed in "podcasting" and received no
more than 100 hits... today you will extract nearly 20 million hits.
Finally, there are a mere 10,000 people actually podcasting today on a
fairly regular basis... by 2010 that number will most likely top 150,000.
Today is right for using podcasting in the classroom. Join
us and learn how it's done!
If you were unable to participate in the Podcasting Part I discussion, you can still log in to Moodle and review the discussion resources and forum posts.
